This is Allyson, one of Danielle's friends from Indy. Danielle asked me to post this update on her blog.
The doctors have unfortunately confirmed that it is cancer. Danielle's mom, as well as Danielle and her family, are in need of prayers. They are praying for a miracle for Danielle's mom. We all know the power of prayer, so please, pass along this prayer request. She has already had one surgery this morning and is scheduled for another procedure tomorrow. She will also begin chemo treatments.
Danielle, I can think of no words to comfort you or ease your fear, disappointment and pain, but know that your friends are here for you and we are praying for a miracle for your Mom. We are also praying for the Doctors who are treating her. Much love to you all. I'm certain Danielle will keep us updated.

This is so surreal after just spending the evening with you all in apparent good health (recent bouts of flu and broken bones aside). Your mom came over New Year's Eve to see us off and had quite the good time flipping us off while she waited for Pat to fix her finger nail. We are praying for you all. your blog is the only advice i can give you. breathe deep. breathe long. breathe until you can picture a moment laughing with all of your playgroup friends when you need a laugh. breathe until you can feel only of us holding you when you need to cry. breathe and allow yourself to feel angry when you feel anger. we know you are strong. let us be there for you and help you breathe. sometimes breathing isn't natural. we will help you.feel the prayers of addie, toby, elly, simon, and jeanne tonight. we love you. breathe
