Not much has happened this week. My Mom's chemo appointment turned out to be tons of blood work. They need my mom to perfectly fit into key eligibility criteria to be a participant in the study. So, the blood work was done today. Many thanks to Donna K. for being there with her. We know she is in good hands and spirits with you! Tomorrow, she will be back at the Hillman Cancer Center for a work up on her heart. The study drug, lapatinib, has some possible side effects with the heart. So, we need everything to be working great to get on the study. After the heart exam, Jen & Mom plan on going to the Complimentary Medicine floor. The want to meet with a nutritionist and secondly they want to discuss some other methods of treatment like ozone therapy.
In the midst of all these choices and types of care, I resign myself that God will show us the way. Some how we are all calm in the middle of this storm and I know it is the peace you all having been praying for us. Thank you.

Thanks Danielle for the update-we are so looking forward to having your mom back with us tomorrow-the pictures are wonderful. Sorry for all the other bad news-hopefully things will turn out okay with your sister-in-law.

Hi Danielle,

Everyone was so happy to see your mom today at school. There were hugs and kisses from the principal to the custodian. You could see the genuine look of love on their faces as they embraced her. Your mother is everyone's favorite. We went to lunch together with some of the teachers and it was a joy just to sit next to her and spend time with her.
We hope and pray that her chemo goes well on Thursday. We want her to heal quickly.
